Default Factory Radio Removal

Any instructions for removing the factory radio from a 1995 Blazer. I tried the ones that came with the install kit (94-97) but the removal of the knee bolster was no where near what this truck has. I worked for 2 hours trying to get this thing out but have stoped. The truck has a column shifter (automatic) which makes it look impossible to get the dash bezel off around. I can get everything but the bezel away from the steering column.

It looks like the knee bolster under the steering wheel neds to come out becase there are metal tabs that stick up and obstruct the dash bezel from pulling up around the wheel. But to remove the knee bolter it looks like a 2 other plastic pieces need to come out.

Can all this be right. remove 1/2 the dash to get a radio out. If so, GM should be ashamed of themselves.

Thanks in advance for any help.

+1 on this. If it is like a 96 (which I think it is) be careful about the hazard lights ****. I busted mine off the other day tearing the dash apart to install my remote and rca wires. Believe it or not the bezel can actaully take a lot of flexing without breaking as long as it is not freezing out like it is here in Iowa now.

May sound like dumb advice, but make sure your 4x4switch, lights, interior lights etc... wiring is all unhooked. You don;t need the added problem of busting some of that off! I know for a fact haha!
