...The first thing I want to do is replace the stock speakers. Eventually I will replace the stock deck but I'm not familiar with the sizing of decks on Blazers yet. Either way, in my last car I had Eclipse speakers all around but now I'm looking for something new. Anyone have any suggestions? What works well for you?

Also, I'll be adding an amp/sub(s) too in the near future but have never done so in an SUV before so I'm a little uneducated on what I should be looking for. Primarily, I listen to Rap but generally I have no preference in music. Maybe useless info but I know people ask sometimes when it comes to audio set ups. I'm not looking to for large amounts of bass but looking for a good all around sound quality with punch.

Can anyone give me some suggestions?

Couple differnet things....Go with a Ported box if u primarily lsiten to rap, and depending on sound, Can go with 8, 10, or 12" subs. Personaly I liek 8"(have a W7 8"), make for a cleaner sound then the bigger subs. Go quality over qauntity when it comes to subs and amps. There are 4x6 plate speakers in teh dash, 6.5" in the doors, and 6x9's outback. ??Now to do aftermarket 6x9's, be careful on how deep they are. Commom to have them to big and magnet gets to clsoe to the sheet metal.

 

I love alpine for highs and I have 2 12 inch Massive subs that rock the whole truck. thats my 2 cense

 

I'm thinking I'll just get the stock speakers replaced all around. What do the alpine sets run for about?

I'm stopping by my stereo shop today and I was wondering, I still have the stock deck I was thinking if it would be smarter to replace the stock deck before I do the speakers or should I feel ok doing just the speakers then getting the deck/amp/sub combo...I'm not sure of the specs on the stock deck and I was thinking that maybe the stock HU would probably lead to more problems if I get carried away with the volume...

 

I Love My Pioneer Headunit.... And For Door Speakers I Love My Fusions.... Extra Crisp Highs.... Crystal Clear And I Haven't Blowin Them Yet And I'm Running 1500 Watts To 6 Of Them Soo That What I Think I Believe I Paid Like $130 A Set For 6.5" 3-Ways And $175 For The 6.5" Component Set....

 

Anyone know of any good 1.5 Din units? I'd prefer to keep the same size unit as the stock unit when I replace it.

 

I actually spent a lot of time looking for a 1.5 din deck but it seems that all the ones available are either not worth the $ for the features or are all years old...Looks like I'll just be getting a single din HU. Some of the new Alpine units look nice!
