Default Help me out here... 2000 Blazer LT (4wd 4dr) speaker sizes... just double checking.

Hey guys I appologize in advance for the noob questions but I've scoured the internet the last few days and i have found that several different speaker measurements are listed in various places online.

SO, before I checkout all this gear and get it shipped, I'd like to double check that this stuff will work with my truck.

I know i have 4x6's in the dash, and 6.5" in the front doors, but I read on this site that the rear doors will have 5.25"... which from looking at my truck sounds right, HOWEVER... on a lot of other sites (and threads on blazerforums.com) it says 6.5" front and rear doors.

I took a ruler out and measured the rear stock grates as well as i could without dismantling the door panel and it looks like 5.25"ish, but seeing as how this is my first system install I'm not totally convinced.

So: for once and for all: In my 2000 Chevrolet Blazer LT 4WD 4DR with the CD Player (but not bose system)... I am looking for a set of 4x6 in the dash, 6.5" in the front doors, and 6.5" in the back doors, RIGHT??? or are the rears 5.25"?

help is much appreciated. sorry btw i tend to write a lot.

Not sure if they changed anything between '98 and '00 but my '98 LT 4dr 4wd has 6.5" in the front and rear doors. It's been a while since they were installed but I'm thinking I had trouble with the rears, so it may be 5.25"... Either way, you can make 6.5" fit.

iv got 6.5's all the way around bro! i did have to get a spacer in back 1/2 inch so it wouldn't touch the metal behind the speaker but they do fit. why dont you just buy one pair for the front but try them in back before you install just incase.

also! i forgot if you use a half inch spacer there is a rim on the inside of the door panel where the speaker grill is, you will need to sand that down or use a dremel to shave it down. once you do that though you should be happy with the results.
