Default Help With Removing dash for a '02 Xtreme Blazer

So I just bought this car from the lot about 2 weeks ago and I am swapping my pioneer head unit from my old explorer over to my new 02 Xtreme. I have done plenty of audio mods in the past and even on a blazer but for some reason I cant get the damn dash off to install my head unit. I know there is one bolt in the middle over the spedometer and i also took 2 out on either side of the steering colum. it feels like it is getting stuck on either side of the colum. at the same time I am REALLY paranoid of breaking something because the interior to the truck is in perfect condition, am i just not pulling hard enough or am i missing a step? Please help. Thanks
