Hifonics Bxi2407

So now that I have $500, I'm thinking about buying this and running it at 1 ohm which is 2400W.
The subs I have run 1500W at 1 ohm. Will these amps be too powerful for my subs, or even too heavy on my alternator or battery?
I'm also considering Hifonics Bxi2008 or Hifonics Bxi2006 which seems to be a more popular choice, probably because of the price. They both run 2000W at 1 ohm, and should put less resistance on my alternator or battery. Even if the Hifonics Bxi2407 is overrated, I'd still like to see if it's worth the price.

Like others have said countless times,Do NOT match an amp to a sub based on PEAK power ratings! Manufacturers usually list the PEAK rating because its a higher number and consumers tend to buy things that are bigger, louder, better. A 15" Alpine Type-R is 750w RMS / 1500w PEAK.
Idont have any experience with Type-R's but have heard they can take 800 or so without trouble (I'm sure people with experience will chime and say how much they can take) The 2407 says 2400 @ 1ohm. That would be 1200RMS going to a 1500PEAK sub... However, HiFonics is known to inflate their ratings so it will probably be less than that.

So I'm guessing that none of them are actually as powerful as they say? I just want the most power that I can afford

not to mention the sever voltage drops
"2400" watts will be a huge strain on your electrical.....I bet Hifonics amps suck juice like a mother.
Xblazer tried a similar thing with his 2500D and it fried in no time.
your best bet would be to build a battery bank.....unless you want to fork over cash for a h.o alt.

I know, I'm checking out other websites now because I have enough money to get something better. The only 3 I really know of are Kicker, Hifonics and I guess Alpine.
