Default Highest watt amp for cheapest price

So I still haven't installed my 2 12" Alpine Type-R's because I haven't bought an amp for it. They're both 1500W each, and I wanna buy an amp that really lets most of the subs potential out. I was thinking of going with a Hifonics 1606D, but I want more watts to let the subs bump hard. I hope to atleast buy an amp by next week. I've had the subs and the box sitting in a room forever and haven't really touched them because I don't have the power to run them! I just want these to bump hard.

CORRECTION - those subs are 500RMS a piece. Do NOT EVER look at the max specs when making purchasing decisions. Your other wrong path you seem to be following is that all amps produce the same type of power no matter the price. By type Im talking about clean vs dirty power. If you buy an amp rated for 1500RMS for $150 brand new, the probability that it will ACTUALLY produce the rated numbers cleanly are very unlikely.

Your best bet is to give us your budget and we will suggest the best amp in that price range for your pair of subs. Also, which tpye Rs did you buy? The dual 2ohm or the dual 4ohm? Keep in mind that if you give us a budget that is just too low, we arent going to suggest anything that is not worth buying.

nothing wrong with the bxi1606D. It's a great entry level amp that should put down around 1200 rms which would drive the R's pretty decently.....

I wouldnt go over 800 each daily......

that amp is pretty decent....ive heard a few horror stories about them though with the amp overheating but that is more then likely installation error. Another thing about the R's.....My buddy has 2 12s with a XX Hercules on them and they take the power just fine.

which is 1000rms each?

I guess it still depends on the install.....small sealed I wouldnt doubt they would shrug at 1000watts

My budget as of now is $240, probably $200 by tomorrow when I fill up. Next week should be around $350-400. It's good enough for the $213 Hifonics, but if I wait it out I can wait until I get up to $500-600, but that's 2 paychecks down the road.

I got the latest Type R's that run at 4ohms

And I have a ported box that's 16" deep, 33" wide and 15" high. Should have good airflow.

just get the alpine PDX 1.1000. Tiny amps, very efficient, dont run hot at all, can install just about anywhere, very under rated, cant go wrong.
