Default i-Pod to radio help!

I have a poineer deh-4400and i recenlty bought a poinner ipod adapter- this one http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...y+Adapter.html and i don't know how to get it to work. I plugged it into the p-bus port on the back, i attached botht the positive and ground wires but it just doesn;t work. it charges the ipod bu it doesn't play my music. is their i button on the radio i have to hit or something or something i have to do? please help and fast i hate useing the travel adapter. It looks like this (thats not my car though)
