Default install in 1 week. need help.

well i go to get my alarm in on the 21st. its a basic compustar alarm with keyless entry.
and the question is they were telling me that if a theif breaks the window with porcalyn(sp) it wont set off the shock sensor. they were saying for $75 they can install little microphones by each window to detect that. is it worth it? or should i rely on the shock sensor?

also is it a bad idea to have 2 brains in one vehicle? cause i also have a dei starter
