Default Getting new tires this week!

Actually I am getting a few things.. First will be a 3" body lift, then 31" tires. I will be going with the Maxxis Buckshot Mudders. Has anyone had any experience with these tires?
I wanted to make sure I made a good decision in the type of tire I purchase. I want to be able to use these tires to the limit. I will be doing a LOT of trail riding this summer and plan on giving 4-lo a hell of a workout.

I also will be doing a lot of mudding, and am going to make my own snorkel. I have seen some very ****ty looking ones that are homemade, but I can fabricate very well, so I should be good to go.

One Question I'd like to have answered, and I have used the search button feverously, is...

Would I have an issue with tire fitment on a first gen blazer with the following mods.

3" body lift
31" mud tires
3rd gen Camaro rims (4.5" offset)
I have trimmed my fenders about an inch at the bottom.

I know that the backspacing is crucial for these s-10s, but I'd like some more input before I dump an assload of money into a tire only to have to have it re-mounted on the orig wheels.

Put on my Body-lift last night and got my tires today!!! Man what a height difference! I also got new CV's and ball joints. The only issue I'm having is the steering is a little tight but I have the 2 piece steering shaft so the kit said I wont have to modify anything in the steering column. I did however have to modify the 4wd shifter boot for it to go back into 2wd and 4lo.

I'm having the same problem at the moment to Johns1987blazer, How did you do your shifter area?..I hope you don't have to ruin the plastic center[]

Yeah, I cut the plastic shifter surround. My blazer is old and its no show queen! The only way you can get around this is to have it extended somehow.
