Default Installing a Sub

I have an 11" sub that I'd like to install in my blazer (97). It requires a power cord that has to be run along th right hand side. Whats is the best way to do this?

just remove the foot panels along the bottoms of the door and run it through there under the dash into the engine bay..

"power cord" I hope you mean actual sub wire like 4 gauge and not a drop cord. it'll burn up if you dont do this right.

Make sure you run your power and remote wire on one side and the RCA cables on the opposite side, this will avoid any unwanted alternator, or any other weird noises.

Make sure you check out some basic stereo DIY's. You will need a power cable, negative cable, remote cable, and then RCA's. The placement of the connections for the power/ground cables are equally important, as are the thicknesses of them.

Elemental designs has some "technically" 11" subs. They are really 10" subs, but I believe because the cone itself is like 10.5 or something, they just round it up.

It probably is a 12 with a larger-than-normal surround. JL did something similar with their w7 13" sub.
