JL 6W0's or EU-700's in the rear doors?
Has anyone ever thought about putting some JL 6W0's or EU-700's in the rear doors to conserve space? They are both 3.5" mounting depth so they might not even fit with spacers and cutting, but I've heard both of them can make impressive bass in tight spaces (although the door might rattle like crazy I guess). If you had to cut some of the door would it get in the way of the window regulator?

you can just put spacers in and it should fit with out much problems.
The JLs will take less power to get loud, and you probably will get a little better bass fromt hem. You can also look at Tang Band subs. Their 6.5s are about the same size and about 40 bucks from http://store.realmofexcursion.com/

Wow i've never even thought about those, how would products like that sound? In the owners manual they recommend a sealed or ported box, so i'm assuming they wern't made for doors, but they're only 3.5' deep? I'd consider putting those in my doors... Would be nuts if they made decent bass / sound...

Sweet. So do the Tang Bands require less power as well? My head unit puts out 20W RMS and 50W Max/channel; would this be enough to run a pair of them (on separate channels) decently? I'm just looking for a little extra punch. Or if I had to use an amp, where would you recommend putting it?
