Default just got my blazer, have some ?'s

well i just got my 02 blazer xtreme, and i want to replace the stock bose speakers with some nice kenwoods or alpines, but i also wanted to run a couple 10's in the back. im only 16 so my budget/knowledge is limited so any help on how to wire up these subs: http://kenwoodusa.com/Car_Entertainm...fers/KSC-WD250 to the stock headunit. also, what brand speakers would you guys recomend for the 6.75's and the 6x9's in the back? and what should i do with the 4x6 slots in the dash? thanks for the help guys.

anything within reason id be willing to pay for, im not looking for top of the line, just some hard hitting bass and good sound. i have an 02 blazer xtreme with the bose sound system, and my audio knowledge is fairly limited, although my father has an extensive knowledge of electrical systems.

the budget is your biggest restraint. Figure out exactly what your budget will be and we can go from there. Also, do you need everything or just certain components? example, head unit, subs, component speakers, etc...

What's wrong with the bose? If I were you, I'd get that sub thrown in there, and then worry about the rest. Unless they're blown or something, you should just leave them. That's money you could be putting elsewhere in the blazer-or even towards a better sub.

true that on the bose being good. i know alpine is decent and they even make a 4x6 plate that has a 4 inch and tweeter that bolts right in. As said before though the budget will hurt you the most. I would suggest this idea.
a) find a mid grade speaker set.
b) replace your interior speakers one set at a time as you can afford
c) replace CD with a decent CD/MP3 unit - for ease later
d) add a amp for the interior speakers (4 channel 600 watt maybe)
e) get and install amp wiring
f) buy or build a sub box - i would suggest 2 12s though
g) buy the sub amp (maybe a good quality 1000 D class)
f) buy the 2 12s and bump

I would say the Crunch Audio is ok, but if I were you i would use Audiopipe. Good Quality and a good price.

you can run them without an aftermarket deck, all you would need to do is get a High - Low convertor at a audio shop (about 10-15 bux) it allows you to splice into the stock speaker wiring so it can convert the signal into a set of RCAs for your amp. The only reason i suggested my build above for you is so that when your done you can have a nice, well rounded, good sounding setup that you will be happy with for a long time. If you leave the speakers till they blow, sure you will save now - but the sound will suck so bad wen they go that you will want to replace immediatly and you may end up with low grade items you will want to replace again soon after. Also the system i listed above was designed in a way to keep building up your system and that way you wont have the urge to cheap out. example - if you had the speakers/box/wiring installed and just needed amp, you might go with a low quality item just to get it all going then be very unhappy and spend more overall when you buy the amp you needed to begin with. In my youth i did this often and looking back i would have been so much better off to build over time as i suggest to you.

Diamond Audio makes a very nice subwoofer, I've got one 12 in a ported box in my 2dr Blazer on a 500 watt Sony amp hooked up to my flip-out, and I kid you not it will out play my buddies two Alpine Type-R's

I've got a couple pics in my photo album!

some other door speakers that sound amazing and are cheaper are Polks, ive had everthing from boston audio, kicker, bose, pioneer, and dual speakers and i by far love the polk speakers =].

I would buy subs last, in fear youd blow everything else when you putt them in (i experienced that). Id go 2 12" subs, because with the open trunk they will SLAM!

Sonicelectronic.com is a great website to look at car stero systems, especially subs and a head unit.
