I've had both 10's and 12's. I got 2 12's CVR's for 200 bucks. New.

Yeah, so it comes down to alpine R's 12's or kicker cvr 12's? I would think alpine would preform better. Looking at specs anyways.

If you are that tight on money go Kicker they do have good stuff and are great on there warranties. I had L5s and they were pretty good, I wouldn't go Kicker too much for sound quality I lean more to Alpine for quality and power. What I am tring to say is if you can afford Alpine do it.

I've seen some brand new typeR's at a few audio places out here around Parma for under $200 a piece. In fact cheapest I've seen yet is $180 a piece for a 12" TypeR DVC- Good Deal

I have 2 Kicker CVR's 12" with a Kicker 400 watt mono amp. I only am pushing the 400 watt amp in them and they sound better than anything at my high school and it has around 2000+ students. I used to have an 84 Blazer and just recently got an 00, haven't switched them over yet because of weather etc, but in all honesty, any other car that I heard (being MTX, Sony Xplod etc) all sounded like junk because you would hear the car rattle. I am sure you all have heard cars that think they are cool with subs but really sound like crap because the car is rattling and that noise takes away from it all. The 2 12" Kickers deliver heart pounding bass without giving you that ugly rattling noise.
