Well guys unfortunatly i'm going back to work on wednesday, ill be working commercial untill the industrial section gets going in march. So! time to decide on my amp. I think 1000rms should keep me happy for a while. The alpine has the features and im assuming the kicker has a lil power advantage.......they're almost the same price from onlinecarstereo.com, just wanted to see everyones opinion....If you have a better suggestion, post up.......keepin it under $400

 

im a real fan of the power acoustik D class amps and the Lanzar D class amps. the Lanzar 2000D is a beast at 2000 rms @ .5 ohm. but that retails around $600. im getting the Lanzar Vibe3100D in my truck - its a $600 amp that puts out 3000rms @ 1 ohm. thats only with 12.5 volts as well.

 

dont do the PA. They overrate there stuff HARDCORE. I would know. I ran one lol.

for a budget you could run a Hifonics bXi1606 you get 1600@1 and at a great price.

Or a Hifonics bXi2006 which is 2000@1 Price is good on that also

 

I concur with Jon, the Hifonics are pretry darn good for the price. you can get the 1606 for about 250

 

I dont wanna fry my 2nd poor lil 105 alt. And i would be powering my R's with over twice there rated power........Right now they slam really good with only 300rms, 300 sounds kinda wimpy(closer to 350 prolly) but damn they get loud......I think they'll be better suited to 500rms, rather than 700+

how important is the S/N ratio.....cuz the alpine kills kicker in that department. Seems the alpine is also of higher quality........but it has tooooo maaannny features [8D]

The feature Freak. Honestly. Go for the Hifonics bXi1606. Great power for a great price. Wont take alot of drain from ur alt either. You should be set with that

the 1506 or 1605 or something has the same ratings as the 1606, but looks alot better........+ its like $100 cheaper than the alpine and 1 ohm stable.......any difference between those 2 amps or what.....just last years model????

and jon, what do you mean it wont drain my power?!?!?!!? thats 1100-1600rms man, my old alt died off 1 501

 

I am using the Hifonics bXi1606 for my amp powering 2 Sidewinders @ 1 ohm and i like it i think it looks pretty cool to when it lights up all blue.
