lol i dont see how you killed ur alt on that.

I have my 2500D @ .5 ohms and my alt's....... surviving..... barely

But the 1605 is the 2005 model of the amp.

1604= 2004
1605= 2005
1606= 2006

Its like a code on themodel number

So your subs are the older 04 dual 2's? I had the original single 4's running off an mrd-m1000 @ about 900wrms off a stock 85 amp alt with no problems.

stop playing, the Brutus series amps are major hardcore. but last i checked they were a bit over $400. though you may find a website selling them cheaper, i would rather pay the price and get a garuntee and all that. PA is a lil overated, but mainly because they rate things differently. the 1000D is not a 1000 rms at 1 ohm. its a 800 rms at 1 ohm, just like the 3000D that is only 2400 rms at 1 ohm. if you want hifonics, i suggest going with Thor - 8000 rms at 1 ohm. or Goliath on the low end - 5000 rms, that should get your speakers to move.

ps- that last part was not a serious suggestion.

1605 is only $249 for 1600 watts........I payed almost $1/watt with my alpine, retail....ya, PA and lanzar are pretty much junk.....isnt lanzar rebadged pyramid?
they rate their stuff like that so they seem slightly better......y not say 10000max 1000rms. IMO every company shold rate using the cea style......

Jon, it is possible for two people to talk in a civilized manor, even when they have different views.

now that has been said. i disagree with the opinion of Lanzar products. Though the cheap end is made cheaply - it just goes back to you get what you pay for. now, the Lanzar Optidrive series is rather hard core. the Optidrive 2000D is a 2000 rms @ .5 ohm cea approved amp. it was considered bulletproof by many of the forerunning magazines, and is used quite frequently. though i am not saying they are the best, they are grand. we put 2 of the optidrive 15 inch subs with a single 2000D and the front windshield was blowing seals and flexing the windshield in a '05 civic. another car of ours runs two of the lanzar Maxx series 15"s and a 2000D heritage Lanzar amp - its shaking the van apart as well. both rides were in the high 140's. the van with the maxx's hit a 149.3 at the last MECA comp. im not trying to tell you that Lanza is better or worse, im just saying that they are producing better product now then in the past and maybe yo should give them a chance.

I know things can be discussed in a civilized manor its just i'm on a bunch of car audio forums and i know where this kinda stuff can go.

Plus i've been kinda yelled at for not doing the right job around here

So i'm just sayin. Keep it cool guys.

As I see things. We all have our own veiws. And when we all think we're right. It will blow up and war's begin. So I'm just lettin ya guys know this will be monitored to keep a safe and civil community here

Wow that sounded like a speach from somewhere lol

good point Jon. at the sametime however, its because of some of that war type stuff that new products are found. if you didnt push MD as hard, i would have ignored it - now me and my friends are planning decent orders.
