Default Is My radio dieing?

i have what appears to betheoriginal stock radio. what makes me suspicious is that whenever i turn my truck off all the memorie goes away (time, pre-set stations) which leads me to beleve the original craped out and they got one second hand and wired the memorie and power threw the ignition(it also will turn on when i turn the key backwards). Second problem is that while listining to it, it likes to inadvertainly shut itself off. i can get it back on when i jiggle the on off switch ,which i dont realy think is good for itand it annoys the living daylights out of me. it also will play when i dont hold down the power button down all the way. also when it shuts itself off a spueeling noise comes out of the speaker.

so is this radio going bad our is there faulty wiring in the jungle of wires i call a wire harness?

Default RE: Is My radio dieing?

if it is the stock radio then there would be no reson for them to mess with the wiring harness, as it would just plugg right in. sounds like its broken to me.
