My tax money at work
#1
So I got my refund...and then blew it on this..

Upgrades
Not even installed yet. Still have to build a custom sub box to hold the subs and both amps. Much work ahead but if your interested in checking it out I plan on documenting a decent portion of it. The only thing I got to put in was

Pioneer 80PRS
Audio System:
Head Unit - Pioneer 80PRS
Front - JBL MS52C Component speakers
Rear - JBL GTO938 (3 ways)
Speaker Amp - JBL GTO504EZ
Subs - (2) JBL MS12D4
Sub Amp - JBL GTO7001
Total RMS wattage around 800W give or take

I cant wait to use the auto stuff with my new setup. I just cut out the rings for the subs and modified one bracket for the tweeters. A lot more work ahead but ill keep posting.

Made some progress today. Here is the stock bracket for the dash on the right and what I had to do to make the new tweeter fit on the left.

Then here is the new tweeter mounted in the bracket.

I can't wait to here what this all sounds like. Sub box construction starts tomorrow! I bought the fleece and resin today. Ill post pictures

So I never knew how much of a pain in the *** it is to get the back panels off in a 2 door blazer. Still got the job done so progress I made yesterday:
- Ran speaker wire from both rear speakers to where amp will be
- Replaced both rear speakers
- Mounted both tweeters and ran wires to crossover
- Ran 3 pairs of dual RCA cables down drivers side (tight squeeze)
- Amp to front crossover wired
Check out some photos

All the speakers are in and wired. I had to build a bracket for the front door. Guess they don't fit 5 1/4 stock. You can see an image of that below. I don't no why my back speakers make a noise with the volume all the way down. It not a hum like power running next to a audio line...gotta troubleshoot that. The sub box frame got wrapped in fleece and I've only gotten to put one coat of resin so far. Still needs about 3 layers of fiberglass. Let me know what you think! And if you have any ideas on what my rear speaker noise could that would be helpful.
