new speakers or Sub?
Now that I am settled on my head end unit for a while was looking for some advice on how to get alittle more low end punch from my sysemm that the stock systems currently lacks. From what I been reading here sounds like a Sub would be better then new speakers. Since I use the cargo area a lot if I get a Sub I would like one that would fit behind drivers seat on the floor. The rear passenger seat stays folded down. Has anyone else done this before, think it would sound ok?
Guess my second question is I guess since I am going to stick with the stock unit for a while I would need a powered Sub. Any suggestions for a powered sub that might fit behind the drivers seat on the floor.
Another question I have is I would like to charge /top off a marine deep cycle battery now and then while driving. It would be sitting on the front passenger side floor. So was thinking after reading up here of running some heavy gauge wire (?) to the battery, think I should use an isolator and guess it should be fused as well?
Thanks
You could most likely hook up an amp and component subwoofer to the stock system. I think all you need is a good line output converter for the ampand an equalizer may help also. Theonly two powered subwoofers I would everconsider is the Alpine LAT and the Infinity Basslink or Basslink II. I don't know the dimensions ofeither off the top of my head though. A place like Crutchfield should have that.
