I thought about adding resistors to the speaker wires. Since I found two new OEM AC Delco 8 ohm 4 x 6 speakers, I don't needto bother with the 4 ohm Pioneer speakers. As far as I know, theonly thing the Pioneer 4 ohm speakers have that theAC Delco 8 ohm speakers don't have is tweeters. I don'tthink I needtweeters.

Besides, I think I fixed the original AC Delco speakers when I switch the speakers from one side to the other. It must have been loose or poor contacts with the speaker wires after all they are 18 years old.One speaker had very little sound and after I switched sides with them, both speakers seem to be working fine now.

in most chevrolet vehicles its either a 4x6 or a 6x9. in that one i believe on the top of my head there will be 4x6 in the dash. 6inch rounds in the door and 6x9 in the rear.

he only has 6x9s if its a 2door...he said his is a 4door. 4doors came with 5.25" in the rears and 6.5s up in the front doors

just wire in resistors b/t the radio and the 4 ohm speakers?
This is a good idea... a 4 ohm 100 watt resistor should do the trick. I say 100 watt because better safe than sorry. You don't want resistor guts splattered all over behind your dash.

THIS WILL NOT WORK. The resistors will not be able to handle the heat generated.

the size is diameter so measure across but let me save you some time, 94 has 6 3/4" in the rear doors (I replaced mine with 6 1/2" easily enough though) and 4"x6" in the dash
