RE: OEM Speaker Sizes
I thought about adding resistors to the speaker wires. Since I found two new OEM AC Delco 8 ohm 4 x 6 speakers, I don't needto bother with the 4 ohm Pioneer speakers. As far as I know, theonly thing the Pioneer 4 ohm speakers have that theAC Delco 8 ohm speakers don't have is tweeters. I don'tthink I needtweeters.
Besides, I think I fixed the original AC Delco speakers when I switch the speakers from one side to the other. It must have been loose or poor contacts with the speaker wires after all they are 18 years old.One speaker had very little sound and after I switched sides with them, both speakers seem to be working fine now. |

RE: OEM Speaker Sizes
in most chevrolet vehicles its either a 4x6 or a 6x9. in that one i believe on the top of my head there will be 4x6 in the dash. 6inch rounds in the door and 6x9 in the rear.

ok my rear door speakers the rubber rings are blown out and they are completely round circle how can i measure them for the size? is it across or all the way around?
|
the size is diameter so measure across but let me save you some time, 94 has 6 3/4" in the rear doors (I replaced mine with 6 1/2" easily enough though) and 4"x6" in the dash
