It may be easy but "ADAPTER" and especially "MDF" are two terms that are not in my automobile vocabulary.

I have found the following new in box ACDelcoreardoor speakers that are listed for a1991 S10 Blazer 4-door SUV:
6" diameter
10 ohms
50 watts

6" diameter
4 ohms (right rear) ?
15 watts

What gives with theimpedence values? I thought all1991 AC Delco receiver/cassette players used 8 ohm speakers? Doesthe location of the speakers determine wheather the speaker must be 4 ohm or 8 ohm impedence due to way they are wired? That is, in series or parallel? I do not want to burn out my original and rare ACDelco radio by using a 4 ohm speaker instead of a 8 ohm speaker. The 1991 radios have voice coils that were designed for 8 ohm speakers.I understand the design of the voice coil determines which resistance value the speaker should be. Enlighten me.

I alsonoticed on the circular speakers that the so called6"speakers have 5-1/4" bolt spacing. That appears to be correct because the speaker diameter is larger than the bolt spacing.

As you can tell, radios and wiring is not my forte. The classic cars I have owned did not have radios.

Actually from what I have read, the fronts are 8 ohms because its actually two 4 ohm speakers wired together, at least on the newer models. The speakers on the dash and front door are wired together. But don't quote me on that its just what I have read.

i have an 03 4dr, i need new speakers because i apparently blew one out at the coil, but crutchfield says that my vehicle uses 6 1/2 speakers on all 4 of the doors and 4x6 in the dash... how are these speakers measured and are they rounded or somethin?

I started replacing my speakers today. The ones in the front doors went in no problem. But once i got the PITA rear panel down it reveled a 5.25 speaker. I bought 6x9s to replace them but it doesn't seem like it will work. Any suggestion on how to get them to fit?

It's funny how outlooks change as we age. I never thought I'd be in a SUV in my 50s' but I realize, especially the Blazer, it fits, it just fits. This from someone coming out of a '95 Maxima 5spd. The factory radio of mine had been replaced by the previous owner with a low priced Duel XD1222, powering the front door & dash speakers. To me simplicity is best, and the cheapie Duel does just fine, has an acceptable sound, easy to navigate. Its only fault was the extremely over bright blue display light. So bright that I covered it with a thick tape to totally eliminate the light. No big deal, even though I can't see the clock. Ashame there is no clock on the little temperature display up high in the Blazer.

My 1997 Blazer LS came used with only the rear speakers.
I replaced one that was a Delco 10 OHM 6x9.
I am not sure that it was original. I want to put speakers in the front dash the doors and replace both rear 6x9's

According to the chart listed my 97 Blazer 2 door LS should use...
All 82 to 04 S-10s and Blazers take 4x6s in the dash
All 94-04 S-10s and 95-04 Blazers use 6 3/4s in the front doors
All 95-04 Blazer 2 doors use 6x9s in the rear

The question is what OHM's should they be?
I was told that 4 OHM's will work for all of them.

I just took the door panel off of my 99 blazer lt and I measured the speakers to be 6 inches across. Not even close to 6.5. Does this sound weird to anyone else?

98 blazer 4 door, 6 1/2 in the rear.
it fits tight (you have to screw the screws in angle to make it fit)

15 minutes job per side.

I recently pulled the speakers in my '96 Blazer LT 4dr and found 6 1/2" speakers in all four doors. 4 Ohm Delco's in the front and 8 Ohm Delco's in the back.
