time out, you would need 2 dual 4 ohms to use a one ohm stable amp. think about it, wiring a dual 4 sub parallel gives you a 2 ohm load, now run another dual 4 in parallel and you have 2 2ohm loads. Run that in parallel again and you'll get a 1 ohm load.

Are the new type R's only 600 rms? i thought the "old" Rs were 750rms

EDIT: the 15 is 750 rms... my bad. If you get 2 dual 4s, run them all in parallel like i said, then get a 1 ohm stable amp capable of at least 1200rms and you'd be set. generally its cheaper to get a 1 ohm stable amp of 1200wrms than it is to get a 2ohm stable 1200wrms..

I myself will be buying a Sundown Audio SAX-1000D within the next 2 weeks for $315 from an authorized site. Its a great amp, its small, and it puts out more than the specs say if you read

Time out?... Who are you? Zach?...

lol but that sundown would be a great buy for 315. That will probely put out closer to 1300 or so at one ohm. The amp I ordered is stable at one ohm, but it's Lanzar and if your only wanting 1500 and under watts. I wouldn't get it. That sundown is just a great buy.

HAHA thanks screwed, yeah i'm a JL guy but JL can't offer that amount of power at that price let alone the sophistication of the 4 channel amps. Like i said, wait for my builds this summer. I'm more "mature" and have made smarter choices and am thinking long term rather than my old self of buy, sell, buy and repeat.

By the way, i felt lonely here without you yesterday

You can get a great amp for $400.. Heck, JL Audio G-MAX is 1200rms at 2 ohms for right around $400. its 600 rms at 4ohms.

You can get an MB quart 1500.1 for about $250. 1500rms at 1 ohm

Rockford Fosgate P1000-1bd 1000rms at 1ohm

and a bunch of (not lower quality) but lesser named amps for cheaper than that. Screwed got his huge Lanzar for like $300 if i remember correctly
