:gasps for breath: Sorry...I'm...late... I've got two words for you, you can write them down if you want...
FUNKY PUPS! (That is if you have the power for them... HA HA!)

Really though I ran a 12inch JBL GTO dual 4 ohm for my mom in her car. And it sounded pretty good. Mounting depth is right around 6inches. The magnet sits inside the basket, it's a neat sub to look at. Works good in smaller enclousures, it's in a truck box in my buddies fullsize and is thumpin away. Box is like .90 cubic feet sealed if I remember right, a pinch small for the sub but it handles it well.

Haven't ran many shallow subs, that's the only one I have experience with. Plus I only gave I think $120 for it new and that was at a local pawn shop (high mark up on car audio). So it would fit the $ bill.

And that's all I've got to say about that .

Well, my older brother threw me some ideas and said that he'd match me on whatever money i have to do to the audio ( he's angry my mom didn't call him when she needed money) so, i'm thinking about a used Morel Ultimo from DIY Mobile Audio or an SI BM MKIIIs.

A Morel Ultimo sub or Si BM MKIIIs sub....

Uhhhh... Hmmmm..... Oh, you mean one of those high end SQ type deals. Yeah I know all about those... lol. Deffinantly mention these subs if you go with one in your build thread, cause I have no real expereince, (or knowledge) of these subs. And I love to learn about car audio. So are those the high end deals like Rainbow and Zapco and Namakishi (not sure how the last one is spelled)?

yeah, the SI is a shallow 12 that only needs about .6 cubic feet (yes POINT 6) for optimum performance and the Morel is just high end stuff.... who knows anymore, my brother is a huge audiophile kind of guy which is why i've had JL (which isn't HIGH end but good for mid grade stuff) but, i'll have something good.

He texts me tonight and asks if i'd want to buy his "old" Pioneer DEH 880PRS head unit off him for $200 and if he wins an ebay deal 2 used 12w3.... This is how he operates and i don't mind. He is bidding on a stealthbox for his 2009 avalanche and is putting 12w6s in it inplace of the 12w3 in it. SO, like i said, who knows what'll happen

And yes, i change my mind every 5 minutes so take most things i say with a grain of salt although the amp probably wont change. I'm still on the fence about whether to get the MB Quart DSC 4125 or the 1000 because i could run everything off the 4125 but the 1000 is more powerful and i have a fosgate p4002 i could run the components off of

$750 a sub makes JL high end to me... But then agian that MTX jackhammer is expensive as hell and it's worthless so, yeah. Ha ha. .6 cubic feet is pretty impressive, you gonna mount that in the center console, lol.

Really though, hope ya get what you want. And we need some vids or at least pics when you get this ongoing audio system upgrade of yours settled down and squared away. (Then I'll take a vid of my flea market electronics filled cargo area to make yours that much nicer). LOL!

haha, well main problem is that i'll have my components installed a long time before i get to even do my subs. My brother lives in Virginia and is a computer geek working for Oracle, he loves designing stuff more than i do and wants to help me build my sub box and amp rack. So, i'll have a build log of the components and sound deadening done by mid June but who knows about the real sub. i'm running one of my "spares" right now, a 10 inch Audio pipe TXX-BD10 just to get me by haha

Getting nice bumps out my 2 Kicker Comp vr 12's running a Kenwood Kac 9104D to them ported box. I've had them for about a year now and they haven't failed me yet.
