whats your opinion on fosgate subs as far as reliability and competition? I am getting two 12' hx2's, i had 3 10' hx2's in my maxima and they pounded.

and gr81, Those HX2's have paper cones? I wonder how they would stand up to our climate, Ive never had paper coned subs......

actually the other day in calgary it was +22 during the day, then snow'd in the evening, gotta love it [8D]

The HX2's handle a good load of power. The 3 10' HX2's i had pounded so smoothly and nicely without distortion, but on a side note they need a bullet proof box for them, i blew the box i had them in apart, like fully apart. The box was a prefabed one from audio express for three 10' subs. I had to take what was left out and put it back together stronger, with the help from a friend.

look into the Eclipse woofers the SW6200 is a great budget woofer if you want 12s....plus they sound great

Just sayin.. from what I have seen at shows Memphis is always up there with the rest.. I'm no expert or anything, just observations.Thats why its called an opinion, it's all good though.

Thanks jagblazer01 for the advice, i'm pretty stuck on those fosgate subs, plus im getting them real cheap. If i blow them, then i will look into those eclipse woofers.

i think you can go wronge eith fosgate subs for good daily driver subs. i had a 12" HX2 for about a week and lovedit and sols it to a buddy when he blew one. it was pretty loud.
as far a the memphis issue goes. i have also seem them do pretty well in comps but u di=ont consider them anywhere close to being called king

I had 2, 10" hx2 in my explorer and they pounded nicely.

And yeah, blazinloud. That was some pretty weird weather we had in Calgary. But it made me happy to see the snow.( I board)

normally I love to see snow too, but now I mostly work outside, and I dont have 4 wheel drive [&:]

we got a little snow yesterday, came down pretty hard for about 15 minutes. actually I was lookin at boards the other day too
I've only skied......
