Ok, sorry, i'm wrong... its a lift-gate. Everyone i talk to (including mechanics and body shop guys) refer to it as a tail gate either way.. interchangeable in my mind. anyways....

HARSH!... lol!
But MTopper, thats a great idea on the window insulation tape. Never thought of that and I might try that! These hatch windows rattle just rolling down the road on 98-99% of them. And a stereo just adds insult to injury. But there is something about seeing your windshield wiper blade arms shaking that keeps me coming back for more. ha ha And x2 on roof rattle, mines rattling around the back, near the glass and I hate to think the hinges are loose but I'ma check that tomarrow.

That's what I meant. Almost all of them rattle during daily use. And a louder sound system just makes it horrible. Now this guy has some hatch window problems. If I remember right he actually broke the glass not long after filming this.

If the U-shaped latch has a groove worn into it, try replacing it. It should be about $15 at the dealership and might get you a couple years of quieter driving.
Mine didn't start rattling till the last 8k miles or so--there is 140k on the ticker now.

while that '87 Blazer has some crazy flex, my brother's Summer Dime can flex the roof like that w/4 RF 12's in a Texas W, but it sure as hell doesn't have distorssion like that thing.
meh.......to each their own i guess.

Well the setup wasn't designed for that vehicle. He had a Denali that was drove into a train (I sh** you not "Denali vs. train" on YouTube). He got the blazer for free as a dd untill he got his new tahoe. Had factory alt and such. 3 runs of 0 gauge, big three 0 gauge. 2 or 3 batteries and two 18's on a Rockford t4000.1. And the truck would shut off completly when the bass hit if at idle.
And now you know the rest of the story. ARGH, mateys! I be captain Screwed and handin your thread back to ye.
