Default Relocate K5 radio

I would like to relocate my stereo in my '86 K5 toward the center, any ideas? The dash will be almost out to re-wire anyway. See my other thread Body Swap to see why.

there is pleanty of room behind that dash to do that. cutting would be pretty simple if you can get at it, its just plastic. can probably just shove a rag in there to block it off. ive always kinda liked where the radio is. that way the passenger cant mess with it

i did the center relocation thing on my 90 fullsize pick up truck (differnt body style) and it kinda sucks. its so far away now.

If I were to do cut and plug, will defrost and side vents still work.
