Default Removal of the Tail lights!?? (not how to)

So, I was thinking after reading the tinting the tail light thread.....

Would it be possible to "cover the tail lights" and place just an LED bar on top of the bumper and separate reverse lights? or will this be ill eagle? (illegal).....

I was just curious as I was trying to imagine the shaved look on the back...

I was thinkin about something like that too but unless you do the taillight delete right (welded and perfectly smooth) it wouldn't look right. If your gonna go all the way with it, it would look sweet. Check with your local laws to see whats allowed for tail lights.

wouldnt be legal because you would not have any reflectors on the rear of the truck.
LED strips are also illegal when used as the only tail ligts but people do it
