Definitly need to fuse that. The safest is fuse it twice actually.....because a short can develop anwhere along the strecth of wire from stock battery terminal to second battery terminal. Anyone else have an experience with adding a second battery and how many fuses you used?

i was thinking of fusing like 6 inches from the first battery, then about 6 inches bofore the second, and again when it heads off to the amps. i also put in a quote for a 200 amp alt. i already have the second battery (matches my current one) and the wire has been run. i got a set of 100 amp fuses ready, so when i get a alt - its on.

alright, im thinking of adding a second battery, but i read somewhere that you need to get ventilation to the outside, and i was wondering the best way to do that, if its even needed.
