Default Single din to Double din possibilty?

I've been looking to upgrade my stereo with a touchscreen, I currently have stock, I've noticed that the double din stereos have a nicer screen and size to them as the single ones.

I have a 99 with single din that looks like this (not my actual dash, a google pic)

But I want it to look like this one; go a little more clean look and fit to it: Recent image by jontobin15 on Photobucket

Would buying the dash fit my current to have the cut for a double din stereo like that be possible? Any help?

Thanks in advance!

I believe what you have is technically a 1.5din. It should not be too hard to get a double in there.

double posting is a no no, you could have edited your last post with that info.

But really. you could do it yourself. I hate bringing cars to shops for audio installs, They always end up breaking something.

Or find a friend that knows what they are doing, they will take more care of your truck.
