Speaker question ???
On a 1998 Blazer LT do you have to pull the door panel to replace a speaker or do the grills come off?
I know this might be a stupid question but I'm not into speakers or radios. I just turn them on & listen. This Blazer has an OEM radio/CD. My right front door speaker is blown out & vibrates real bad. I was just going to replace it with a speaker from Walmart or an inexpensive speaker.
Any advice & info would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes you have to remove the panel. Its really not hard at all. There's a couple screws by the door handle. The trim around the door handle comes off. Then gently start pullin on the panel. Its held on by plastic "christmas trees".
Walmart might sell a little set of plastic prybars for removing door panels. I bought them elsewhere, and it's worth a few bucks. You can get a small box of the clips at auto parts store, some may break or just not go back tight.
Thanks Guys. I have a door panel removing tool that gets under the plastic push pins. I have some spares also. I was just hoping the grill would come off. The one in the door on the right side is blown bad. I found a good used GM speaker on Ebay I might bid on.
Again thanks.
Again thanks.
