98 blazer speaker question
just wondering is there a way to convert the rear speaker deck from a 6.5 to 6x9s if not what are the best bass 6.5s for the rear i heard the pioneer kevlar speakers were good but i dont know if they give out good bass well any suggestions will be greatly appraciated
I'm assuming this means you have a 4 door?
Pretty much ANY round speaker will out perform a 6x9 for bass output... The Type-S 6.5s I have sound pretty good in my bosses truck, and that's running off the internal deck amplifier... Which is a Sony.
The more experienced car audio guys should be along shortly...

a 6.5" speaker will not produce more bass than a 6x9, more surface area. A 6.5 inch speaker is more of a mid-bass driver. Sure, the bass that you get from a 6.5 will sound better than the 6x9, as in cleaner. the pioneers are ok, more entry level. CDT and Diamond make some amazing 6.5's, and the Apline R's are nice as well
thanks for the help cuz im trying to upgrade my rear speakers since only one works imma go ahead and find the alpine ones and see how good they are i only have a 200 dollar spending limit so i hope i get my moneys worth thanks again
Hillbilly, what would you perfer over my kickers if have installed now. The Diamonds , CDT's or the apline r's ? I didn't knwo apline had good mids i thought the only really quality thing they produced was their indashes and decks.
CDT CL-6EX 's are nice, i would do components tho.
For Components Cl-60's or the EF-61NEO
Diamonds D361i's sound nice.
For components either the D3's or D6's will be an improvement.
I have also been listening to a set of Elemental Designs I bought a set of the edi 6000's and they sound amazing. pretty nice price tag as well
