Default Speaker Wire Colors

I've searched the forums and never found a conclusive post about positive and negative speaker wire colors. Many people trying to follow the sticky on wire colors find their doors don't match the assignments listed. While the color combinations listed for each door don't always match, although the color assignments typically do. For instance, regardless of which door, if you find a light blue and dark blue wire pair, the dark blue is positive.

What I also found is that each pair of wires has a label at the small plastic disconnect clips. One is "A" and the other is "B". The A wire is always negative, and the B wire is always positive. I found this to be true on all 6 speakers in my blazer (4 door speakers and 2 dash tweeters). So forget color if you want...just follow the labels.
