ok so i recently bought my subs and amp for my blazer...
i basically know how to do everything besides a few actions..
where exactly is the firewall located. and how much wire will i need to get to the battery?
also where is the best spot to ground my amp. i was thinking under the tire jack there is a little hole. can i sand the paint down and make that the grounding place?
and here is my last question
since i am keeping the stock headunit in. where do i place the speaker wire from my amp into the back of the headunit? i know i use a 2 channel speaker wire. i just have no idea where to put it in the headunit!
thanks for looking. hopefully i can find some help!

um.... the firewall is the metal between the engine compartment and the interior of the
truck.
for the length of wire... most kits come with about 20 feet of positive which should be more than enough
i assume you have a 4 door. most guys use the seat belt bolt in the back. you sand down the paint to bare metal and bolt the ground terminal through the floor.
for connecting the amp to a stock headunit you will need the line output converter to use your headunit and an amp.
so... you have a lot of work to do if you didn't understand the basics of the install.. not trying to be mean

For the ground, a good rule of thumb is to keep the ground wire less than 3 feet long.
And when you run the wires, run the power and remote on the opposite side of the vehicle from the RCA cables, that'll help with any unwanted noise.

-I have a four door and when I installed my amp, I ran the ground wire to one of the bolts that bolts the rear seat to the floor.
-My kit came with 20ft of cable and that was plenty, I still had another 2ft or so that I had to cut off but it all depends on how you route it.
-Make sure when you go through the firewall to use a grommet around the wire to keep it from getting cut, and keep the firewall around the hole from corroding.
Good luck in your install!
