Default sub magnets

I placed my new ED 11Kv.2 sub thats waiting to go in my Jimmy by my TV, about 2 feet away still in the cardboard box. I got interferance on the corner and for a second I thought my TV was going out like my last one did. Never really gave it a thought until I got up and seen the box sitting there. For the past few years I had my 2 old school Kenwood KFC-W3002 12"s sitting about 6 inches away from the TV on top of the Entertainment center, along with an old RF Punch 10 inch and never had anything happen. Hopefully this sub is as good as the magnet is. Figured I would have a post in the A/V forum that wasnt asking for help.
