I ended up doing my complete install this weekend and it really sounds great . the wiring of the amp wasn't too easy, mainly because it was about 40 degrees and windy, but I ended up mounting the amp to the back of the 60% seat fold down plastic piece. Looks clean with no exposed wiring and sounds awesome.

I would have mounted my amp under the cargo cover on the jack/spare tire equipment cover, but my wiring wouldn't reach and the wiring would have been a pain to hide.

They're facing toward the tailgate now, but I am going to play around with positioning... maybe try them pointed at the roof like benedict1337.

Thanks for the tips forumers!

had the same problem with wire length. the back of the seat works great as long as your not putting the seats up and down all the time and loading lots of stuff

I too have my sub facing the roof, i'm running a JL 12w6v2 and it sounds pretty good. to me, there isn't a whole lot of difference between towards the tailgate and the roof. I personally did this because i too use my trunk for work/play/coaching(baseball bags ruined my last sub that faced the tailgate)
