hey everyone..im puttinga new sytem in my jimmy and i just need to be refreshed on the speaker wires...i know they go from the subs dirrectly to the amp but my box in the back has a red and black plug in for each sub how do i run the speakers wires to the amp..meaning positve and negative...thanx

What kind of subs? What is the ohm rating on each? Single voice coil or dual? What amp are you running? Mono or stereo?

Edit: What is the ohm rating at each terminal cup?

there kenwood 12 sub..900 ohm rating...with a sony 1400 wat xxplod amp mono

two subs??? that is 900 watt max probably. from each sub to the amp, red is pos, black is neg. hook up each speaker to its own terminal on the amp

subs are only part of a system. What are you installing to complete your "system install"? door speakers?

no its got nun to to with my door speakers i just needed to some refreshment how the speaker wires run from the subs to the amp

exactly. A system is a complete audio overhaul. Just adding subs isnt a system. Its just a fraction of a system.
xdieselx3032, are you adding anything other than a sub and amp?
