Default Trouble with 97 Blazer stereo

Just bought a 1997 Blazer LS that has a cassette deck stero system.
Found out there are no front speakers in the dash. I will have to get some. I am not sure yet if any are in the doors. I can't hear anything out of them. So that leaves me with the rear speakers. But the big problem is that the right side rear speaker cuts in and out randomly. The left is always on. I pulled the deck out and wiggled the connections and that didn't do anything to help.

So is this a speaker connection problem or the deck itself?

your going to have to check the connections at the speakers them selves. if you have a multi meter check the speaker for resistance. it should prob read 4 ohms. the deck itself could have a short too. id just go thru and eliminate as many options as you can until you figure it out.

OK, I just tried to get at the right rear speaker and it is really hard to get at.
I am going to have to get a large torx bit to get the seat belt buckle off the side by the window. There is a handle mounted there as well and I cant see how that is attached. Maby when I get the seat belt buckle off the handle is mounted from behind?

Thanks NT_Hardcore
It's the speaker.

I got a T50 torx/star bit to remove the seat belt strap buckle and then I could get at the speaker.

Got it out and tested it with the OHM meter got nothing.
Then I tested the connecter in the car and got 4 OHM just like you said.
I have some old speakers that tested OK and touch connected them in the car with the radio on and it worked fine.

But I don't want to install those because they are 8 OHM not 10 OHM like the original. Plus they are really old.

So now I have to find a replacement. Saw some on e-bay but they are a pair not just one.

Any suggestions? I believe these are 6x9 10 OHM DELCO Electronics.
