So I've been searching and crawling the forums for information on the tweeters that are fitted into a factory custom 4x6 plate. I've found info on folks usually replacing them with 4x6 speakers. I on the other hand wish to keep tweeters there as I don't want to deal with more speakers in general and also tweet location I'd rather leave factory as I don't want to mess with the interior.

So what size exactly is the factory tweeter that is in the plate? Will a 1" tweeter fit in its place or will I have to modify it to make it fit? There is very little documentation on this from what I've seen and if anyone has done this could you please direct me on what you've done to complete it?
