Upgrading speakers
#11
For alpines it looks like my only options are these http://www.woofersetc.com/p5242/SPR6...t-Speakers.htm and these http://www.woofersetc.com/p5243/SPR1...t-Speakers.htm. Will those be ok for the amp i linked too?

that is a perfect setup. all 4 speakers will be powered evenly and at their maximum rating, and not a bad deal for all of it

alright, for a sub would it be better to get a 2ohm dvc or a 4ohm svc. Since the amp will put out 200w x2 at 2ohm and 400w bridged at 4ohms

So i need a single voice coil sub then?

well most of the subs im looking at that are 4ohm are DVC not SVC. What is the difference between 2 and 4 ohm subs? What would be the difference between a 4ohm SVC and a 2ohm DVC? They would both be getting 400w either way.

Ohms are a measure of resistance, but you have to take into account that you can bridge a single dual voice coil sub and not a single voice coil. how many subs are you wanting?

i just plan on getting one. Most likely a 10 inch

you want to look at a sub that can handle at least 400 watts because overpowering is bad under powering is ok
