Volunm Increase

I have a pioneer deh1000. Any suggestions as to why the volunm increases on it:son. I started the vehicle and the volumn started to go up until I hit the -volumn. Any suggestions as to why this might happen? Thanks

you left the volume up high when you turned it off?

No to leaving it high. I started the truck, the radio was on about volumn 7 or 8 , after a few seconds 10 or 15 it just started to increase, sounds strange , but that was it. I just got back from the store it did it again the same way. Might be going out the HU.
