What are the best speakers?

I just completely swapped out all 3 pairs in my 98 blazer with Kicker speakers. I had 2 sets of 6.5"s in both sets of doors and 4x6's in the dash. A lot of the other brands mentioned, such as MB Quart, are sweet, but expensive. If you look online you can find a couple sets of kicker's that you need for pretty cheap. I did and have absolutely no complaints.
Good luck.

Adding an amp will make the speakers sound much better also, I believe that the papers that came with my rainbows said they could be damaged if you don't use an amp with them

get a four channel amp and run wire to all the speakers. have to have front and rear pre-outs on the deck tho.

head unit rca's to the amp, then speaker wire from the amp to your speakers. You would most likely need an aftermarket head unit to do that though

we are all talking aobut door speakers. blazinloud, if they were all 4 ohm, then if wired up corectly, each channel would see a 2 ohm load, must have an amp that is stable at 2 ohms.

My Alpine Type-S 6x9s did a great job in my old S10, but they were in boxes... I haven't mounted them in the vehicle yet, so I don't know how the acoustics are gonna change...
That's similar to what I'll be doing... My 4x6's and door speakers (2 door) are going to be wired together... yay for 2 ohm stable 4 channel amp!

That's true, that the rounders and/or components sound better... But when you've already got good speakers in a 6x9 package, and don't have the extra money, they work
