Okay, so I am planning to do a restomod of sorts on a 93-94 2-door S10 Blazer when I get the money to do so. Right now the project is still on the metaphorical drawing board. My plan for the stereo would be to install Alpine speakers in the front and rear OEM locations, plus mount an amplifier under the backseat. I want to have a killer stereo system without having to sacrifice any interior space/cargo space, remove the backseat, or cut holes in the door panels.

use whatever size the oem is? and pretty much everything aftermarket will sound better than stock.

For a set of component speakers you'll need to drill a hole in the door panel for the tweeter, or whereever else you want it.
