Touch screen double dins.... Good deals? Recommendations?
Also, how much needs to be trimmed in the 1.5 din to fit? (Mack if you say .5 din, I am coming to michigan and pooping in a bag on your porch!!!)

I like this idea. I have a few stupid questions that I would feel too stupid to make a new topic about, so it would be sweet to be able to ask them casually in here. Also just some general feedback on what are good brands, etc.

Good idea!

Edit: To the other Will on the forum ^^

1 inch trimming, so .5 din?

Lol, Nice... I am going to do a little research on it, as I believe a new member here slipped it in with about 3/8ths off each side and a little fine tuning.....

sissy boy probably sanded it. a real man uses a chainsaw to cut anything and everything. im excited to see this. take many pictures.

im gonna fiberglass me up a new box. im thinking of using abs rods for curves around the sub/mdf ring. should i use those bendable wood things instead? (dont know what they are called (ballsa?)) has anyone used either? this will be my first time working with fiberglass. any tips?

I've done this for customers once or twice. takes a while to make it look nice. but overall isn't horrible. i've done it also on din and a half tahoes as well.

Will...... you need to trim the top and bottom a little bit to get a double din opening like my 04 has. its very little. i'd personally install the radio then trim the bezel after you took some initial measurements.

JShark - what are you asking about regarding the bendi ply/abs?

im getting a 12 inch sub and two 8 inch subs from a friend and i have no idea were to put them in my truck. the two 8 inch subs are in one box and the 12 inch sub is in its own box. so would just right behind the back seats be the best spot? (probably a really stupid question i know)
