Why does everyone have xplodes?! I've never understood this. If you plan on running subs, plan on at least spending some money.

I'm a college student, so I know what a budget is for sure. Here, I'll outline for you what I got in my 97 Blazer
Alpine CDE-9881 Head Unit
Rockford Fosgate Amp Wiring Kit
Kenwood Excelon KFC-X172 Door Speakers (6 1/2'')
Kenwood Excelon KFC-X462C Dash Speakers (4x6)
Rockford Fosgate Amp P400-4
2 Rockford Fosgate 12'' subs in a Ported RF Box.

I got all of this for about $700 bucks. And, It sounds amazing.

get a bigger budget before thinking about audio. Dont settle for cheap garbage. you will just end up spending more money in the long run than if you saved up and purchased everything properly the first time.

You can't get a very good set up for 2 15's on a low budget... I have a 12" Diamond sub in my 01 (check out my pic album). I'll tell you that in Blazer (or any SUV for that matter) subs are MUCH louder than the exact same subs in a car... due to it is all open airspace..no backseat to muffle it..

On a budget I highly recommend a 12" Alpine type R on an 800 watt amp. I had one in mine, it was LOUUUDDDDDD!

Good luck!

No, a Type R just needs one amp. The subs cost like 130 each at best buy. a box is about 50 and an amp 200ish.
