i actually built mine before i saw yours, then i got the idea to fully cover the back from yours, as for the drawer i made a wood bottom so i can glide easily, and then i put metal sofa glides on it so it slides really easily, i have easily 50 pounds on it with the chain and other things and it still slides out all the way really well

just cleaned up the paint job and added some power steering fluid.
tip for those painting: if you mess up such as get paint on the wrong part, paint to much, or miss, you can clean it with mineral spirits but be very careful and use a small section of a rag like 1/2 square inch and rub firmly but gently on the spot, then wipe off the area to avoid damaging the paint coat and then to finish respray the area with a clear coat sealant to repair any damage to car paint, worked great for me and the results are spectacular

new air filter came today, didnt really buy it for performance got it so that i could move my electronics down into the space the old filter took up, now they are more organized and out of the way, also the cool looks of the new filter never hurt

I don't think I could manage to have something like your switches on my Blazer. I am guessing those are for the fogs? If it were me, I would have just drilled a few holes in the lower dash. I did that with my rocker switch for my fogs. I do love that tool box you made. I may have to try something like that for my Blazer. I have too many tools sliding around the back of it.
