Not long ago I did an LED tail light retrofit. Worth putting a link in here to that thread :)

I really like the stance you have on your blazer, something I'd like to do, or at least similar, with mine. I just picked up a really clean '02. I'm wondering, and I read through the thread but might of missed it, what you did lift wise. I remember you saying you were thinking about shackles and torsion key lift, is that all you did?

Have any issues with those tires rubbing?

I used a set of $35 2" shackles off eBay and turn the torsion bars a little (I forget how many turns, it wasn't an even number left and right because one side was actually sagging a little to begin with so I had to even it out), but I didn't max them out, there's still a little down travel. Rides noticeably stiffer but it's not terrible, I've driven worse lol. So far during normal driving conditions (like around town) I have a little tire-fender contact when turned just right and hitting a bump hard enough. Turing into off-camber drive ways or parking lot entrances definitely get it. The tire contacts the rear of the wheel opening at the very bottom of the fender behind the tire, and I've already done a little hammering to minimize it. I also had to trim a little off the plastic lower valance on the front bumper, but that's so minimal that no one would ever notice it unless you were really looking for it. The only way around the rub would be smaller tires (obviously...), or perhaps even less aggressive tires since all that contacts is the outer edge of the huge lugs on these tires... Or a little more lift, but I'm not touching the suspension again, it's going to stay how it is for a little while until I get the time to SAS swap it :icon_naughty:

sweet, thanks.

found out yesterday on a trail that my rear tires WILL contact the lip on the inside of the wheel opening when flexing lol so it looks like I got some more hammering to do before I start slicing up tires...

Will be bring home a new project from work soon. Going to be a long term project, but it's something to work on in the garage in spare time.

Got to say great build thread. Just went thru it to find out more about your wheels. Found it right here on last page BTW. Do you know the specs such as BS and offset and width? Might have to copy you on your wheels on my 2dr if you dont mind.

I got them used off a 2wd, they didn't stick out much further than stock on the 2wd, so I'd honestly say they're the same backspace as stock 2wd wheels.

I've actually set those wheels and tires to the side in favor of something a little more road friendly for daily driving... Doesn't look as mean now lol but rides WORLDS better. First gen ZQ8 wheels, painted to make them a little different.
