I just bought a zr2 blazer but sadly it has 236k miles on it and cylinder 4 is pretty much dead and not worth the money or time to fix so hey why not drop a nice new heart in her.

im wanting to drop a 350 small block in while still keeping the 4x4 option. I’m new to engine swaps so I’m here looking for any advice possible from someone that has done this before. I will also be uploading pics of the build as i add to it.

the v8 swap in a 4x4 requires a bit more finesse do to the front differential and CV axles. I will be putting a 383 stroker in mine but may be swapping axles and or modifying the setup bunches. I did see one guy document an LS swap here and he outlined some of the issues with the larger engine and cramped space in the 4x4 blazers. I say if you have the time, talent and energy, do it. If you want an easy weekend swap- might not be for you. I have been prepping for my swap for quite some time. three row radiator, electric fans, body lift, ac condenser relocate, removeable radiator support installed.
