1996 GMC Jimmy 350 swap
I started this a couple months ago, old 4.3 started mixing coolant into the oil and went unnoticed for some time. We bought it back from family member and decided to make it a project. Picked up a 70 model 350 small block and a 700r4. Freshened up the engine and am putting it back together. Got headman s10 v8 swap headers, plan on running 4.3 radiator with a pusher electric fan.

Looks pretty good, maybe in a few years I can do a v8 swap in my jimmy.

oh, there is going to be a burnout vid when it gets running. We have some old dry-rotted spare wheels lying around may as well get use out of them. All I have to do is to drill a few holes for the trans mount and then I'll get to bolting everything back up. Which I found odd becasue I was lead to belive a 700r4 would just bolt right in, but i'm an inch off

How far forward are you with the engine? That could be the issue. What fans will you be running?

cool, i did basically the same thing years ago, i ran the engine as far back as i could and the radiator in place where the condenser was so i could run a manual fan, all the reading i did on it so many people were complaining of over heating due to electric fans
