So I got a 97 blazer with under 80k , not sure whether to build this thing or go with a Jeep or Full size truck, if i keep it i want a lift,rims and tires, CAI, Dual Exhaust, Cowl hood, and other small things like lights, any good engine mods (like chips or shift kits) worth doing?

Sounds like you want to put baloon tires on a lifted blazer. Which will put your suspension outside its design parameters. You will probably be better served by getting a bigger truck.
