1Baddblazer S10 Project
Hey guys, i am starting my S15 Project Finally!!!!!
My dad bought this truck new off the lot in 1987. This is a 88' GMC S15 extended cab. I received it in highschool back in 1999...
It had a black hood, 3 shades of blue, purple/peeling tint, etc. I had my hands full.
I polished the rims and got it painted, fixed the interior, etc. Then i blew the motor back in 2005. And it has been sitting since...sooooooo
This is how it sits now in my backyard..I will be having it moved to a 30x40, so i can start on the build in better conditions...
These are my ideas as of now... Built 4.3 w/turbo, bagged on 22's, fully shaved, 91 GMC frontend conversion, 59' Cadiallac taillights, ice blue paint w/ leather interior, etc.
Here is my photoshop version of what my truck will look like when complete

Cause everyone does a 350....it will be cheaper to do a 350 swap then build a 4.3 turbo but how often do you see a v6 turbo under a s10 other then the syclones or typhoons. its different.....
Hot Rod mag did a build up on a old school 4.3 and built it for round 3,000 with machine work and all and it had over 300 hp w/o turbo which is more then the syclone or typhoons came with.. it will be less weight on the front and just enough power to not cause too many traction problems...
But i am keeping a 350 in mind

your average 350 does weigh more, yes. BUT... if you use the right block/heads/etc you can match or beat the weight of a 4.3.. you can easily get over 300 for under 3k and push MUCH higher if you add a turbo.
How many turbo'd 350 s10's have you seen? hmm I bet there are more turbo'd 4.3's seeing as it was a factory option in a sense.... did you think of that..
What about'd a turbo'd 327 250-375hp stock depending on year...
either way would be a wicked choice though! It all depends on personal preference and how far your willing to take it... and most importantly how deep your pockets and how skilled you are
If you want to be different, GO ELECTRIC!!!...
